System of a Down Drummer Boy Will Melt Your Face Off [VIDEO] It’s that time again, folks — time for another viral vid of a kid who is so incredibly gifted that you’ll a). Come to loathe your own child for his/her inadequate talent show skills, b). Fall into a deep sea of depression when faced with the listless path your life has taken. I give you: 5-year-old Jonah Rocks. This little video hit YouTube (YouTube) just a few days ago, and it’s already going viral, giving other pint-sized performers like Ukulele boy and Rush Girl a run for their proverbial money. But this little dude is no flash-in-the-pan prodigy — he even has his own website (which — be warned — has autoplay music) replete with more videos and photos of Jonah and the band KISS His bio, from the “About Me Section”: “Way back in 2008, at the age of 3, Jonah Rocks was lining up his Play-Doh cans to make a drum kit. He would sneak all the baby spoons from the cupboard, and use them as drumsticks. His daddy asked him if he wanted a real drum kit, and of course, Jonah said ‘YES!’ Once he sat down behind that kit, and held that first pair of 7A’s in his hands, he has never put them down, playing as much as he can, whenever he can. Jonah is completely self taught, never had a lesson, and if you’ve watched him play, you know he absolutely loves it.” Check out his cover of System of a Down’s “Toxicity” below: via System of a Down Drummer Boy Will Melt Your Face Off [VIDEO].

No, Seriously, a Working Star Trek Phaser With DIY Instructions The good news: this Star Trek phaser mod has legitimate blow-em-up functionality and pewpew sound. The best news: you can build one of your very own. The full tutorial can be found at Laser Pointer Forums, a site I'll obviously be visiting with far more frequency in the future. In the meantime, I';m going to keep watching this video, imagining Romulan sentries in the place of big black balloons. The 10 Stages of Social Media Business Integration Brian Solis is a principal at new media agency FutureWorks. You can connect with him on Twitter or Facebook. An overnight success ten years in the making, social media is as transformative as it is evolutionary. At last, 2010 is expected to be the year that social media goes mainstream for business. In speaking with many executives and entrepreneurs, I’ve noticed that the path towards new media enlightenment often hinges on corporate culture and specific marketplace conditions. Full social media integration often happens in stages — it’s an evolutionary process for companies and consumers alike.

Star Wars burlesque show (yes, even Jabba's in here) Above, Stormtrooper striptease Courtney Cruz in a Star Wars-themed burlesque show at the Los Angeles club Bordello (a sexy bar which opened at the site of a notorious, historic LA whorehouse). Liz Ohanesian has a post up at LA Weekly with more about the performance. Lots of great photos by Shannon Cottrell, who shot the image above. I did not post Sexy Jabba the Hutt, and you can thank me for it later. (thanks, Isaac B2) via Star Wars burlesque show (yes, even Jabba's in here) Boing Boing.
